“My neck is stiff and I can barely check my blind spot.”

Chiropractic Care for Neck Pain in Ball Ground, GA

A stiff neck affects more than you expect — how you sleep, how you drive, how long you can work comfortably. We look at the whole picture, from your upper back and shoulders to your desk and pillow, to understand what’s keeping it tight.

What it can feel like

Neck pain often builds slowly, then announces itself one morning. People commonly tell us about:

  • Stiffness turning the head, especially when reversing or checking a blind spot
  • Tightness that climbs from the shoulders into the base of the skull
  • Tension headaches that seem to start in the neck
  • Waking up sore, or struggling to find a comfortable sleeping position
  • Aching by the end of a day at a computer or looking down at a phone

How Dr. Aimée approaches it

We start by understanding your day — how you work, sleep, train and carry stress. Dr. Aimée then assesses how your neck moves, and how your upper back, shoulder blades and posture are contributing.

In the athletic training room, a neck problem was almost never just a neck problem. That habit of looking up and down the chain is at the heart of how she works. Care may include hands-on treatment along with simple changes to your setup and routine, so progress lasts beyond the treatment table.

What your care may include

Depending on your evaluation, your care plan may include:

Not every patient receives every treatment. If we don’t think our care is the right fit, we’ll tell you and help you find the right next step.

Getting back to what you enjoy

Most people simply want their neck to stop being the thing they think about:

  • Driving without turning your whole body
  • Working a full day without the afternoon ache
  • Overhead lifting and swimming
  • Sleeping through the night
  • Reading and hobbies without tension creeping in

When to see a doctor first

Neck pain after a car accident or fall, a sudden severe headache, dizziness, changes in vision or speech, or weakness in the arms or hands should be medically evaluated first. Call 911 for sudden or severe symptoms.

Common questions

Do I have to have my neck adjusted?
No. Some people prefer not to, and that’s completely fine. There are other effective hands-on options, and Dr. Aimée will always explain what she recommends and check that you’re comfortable before doing anything.
Can you help with headaches?
Some headaches are related to neck and shoulder tension, and in those cases care aimed at the neck may help. Headaches have many causes, though, so we’ll ask careful questions and refer you to a physician if anything suggests another cause.
Will you look at my desk or sleep setup?
We’ll certainly talk about it. Small changes to screen height, breaks and sleeping position are often part of the plan.
