“My back hurts every time I bend or sit too long.”
Chiropractic Care for Back Pain in Ball Ground, GA
Whether it’s a dull ache after a day at the desk or a sharp catch when you pick something up, back pain has a way of shrinking your day. Our aim is to understand why it keeps happening and help you move with more confidence.

What it can feel like
Low back pain rarely looks the same from one person to the next. Some people describe a constant ache; others feel fine until one particular movement sets it off. Common experiences include:
- Stiffness first thing in the morning that eases as you get moving
- Aching after sitting, driving or standing in one place for a while
- A sharp twinge when bending, lifting or twisting
- Pulling back from workouts, yard work or the golf course to avoid a flare-up
- An episode that settles down, then returns every few months
How Dr. Aimée approaches it
Your first visit starts with a conversation: when the pain started, what makes it better or worse, what your days look like, and what you want to get back to. From there Dr. Aimée assesses how your spine, hips and pelvis are moving — and how the rest of you is compensating.
Decades in athletic training taught her that the place that hurts isn’t always the place the problem started. Tight hips, a stiff upper back or the way you hinge to pick something up can all load the low back. Your plan is built around what we find, not around a standard back-pain routine.
What your care may include
Depending on your evaluation, your care plan may include:
- Chiropractic Adjustmentto restore motion to stiff or restricted segments of the spine and pelvis.
- Soft Tissue Mobilizationfor guarded, overworked muscles through the low back, hips and glutes.
- SoftWave Therapyfor some longer-standing low back complaints, where appropriate.
Not every patient receives every treatment. If we don’t think our care is the right fit, we’ll tell you and help you find the right next step.
Getting back to what you enjoy
The goal isn’t just a quieter back — it’s getting back to the things you’ve been putting off:
- Lifting and training without bracing for a flare-up
- A full round of golf
- Gardening and yard work
- Long drives and flights
- Picking up grandchildren

Common questions
- Do I need an X-ray or MRI before my first visit?
- Usually not. Most people can start with a history and hands-on assessment. If anything in your evaluation suggests imaging would help, we’ll tell you and explain why. If you already have recent imaging or reports, bring them along.
- Should I stop exercising until my back feels better?
- Not necessarily. Complete rest often isn’t the answer for back pain. We’ll talk through what you’re doing now and help you adjust it so you can stay as active as is sensible while we work on the cause.
- How many visits will I need?
- It depends on how long the problem has been around, what we find and how you respond. After your assessment, Dr. Aimée will give you an honest recommendation rather than a pre-sold package.
